WE HAVE TWO WINNERS!

John from NYC guessed the location in “Where am I?” and Jenna from Ca. wins ‘Caption This’ with: “Who ya calling chicken!” Dang that was brilliant.

Last week I said Boomers are 78 million strong. Then I pick up USA Today (well actually someone slid it under my door at a hotel) and now they say we are 80 million strong. When I was in college studying gerontology there were supposed to be 55 million Boomers. YIKES! What are we doing multiplying in the dark (ur, umn, yeah I guess that’s how it happens) or are we cloning ourselves? Do the statistics mean US citizens, or does it include other countries?

Hey and get this twist on Boomeer news (gee-wilikers my protesting activist soul loves this one) Same paper says don’t be so FAST to build fences across Texas and California. Seems now what with the war chest looking kinda dusty and empty and the powers that be are eying what’s left of Social Security (this amount being a remnant of the Clinton era when there was a National Surplus, not a ba-zillion dollar debt) SEEMS LIKE WE NEED AS MANY LEGAL AND ILLEGAL ALIENS AS WE CAN GET! Why? Because every time they spend money (in most states) they are paying sales tax and many many many of these people also pay income tax. They are much younger than we are and the age of collection is going up. They most likely won’t be able to collect, if at all until they are 75. (Yes, I know families with small children are using food stamps and child welfare…don’t know the stats on that, but my bleeding heart says, GEES LOUISE feed the children). Anybody want to research this further and give us real numbers?
